Compare the Volkswagen Arteon to the Lexus ES and Infiniti Q50 at Ciocca Volkswagen of Allentown

Climbing behind the wheel of the new Volkswagen Arteon is an experience unlike any other. From the unique exterior design to the excitement inside, the Arteon was built with one thing in mind - your complete satisfaction.

While the Volkswagen Arteon doesn't skimp on the luxuriousness of your drive, it might not be the only model you've been looking at during your sedan search. Luxury models, like the Lexus ES and Infiniti Q50, might make it hard to decide on the model right for your drive. Below, we'll break down the comparison of the Arteon against the Lexus and Lincoln competition to help you understand more about your choice and why the Arteon might fit your needs better! Let us know if you have any questions about the comparisons!

Volkswagen Arteon vs. Lexus ES

While both models will ensure a luxurious experience behind the wheel, what's under the hood tells a different story. The new Volkswagen Arteon received a powertrain upgrade, equipping a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. While the Lexus ES offers three engine options with plenty of power, the base engine doesn't match the Arteon's ample output. The Lexus sedan comes standard with a 2.5-liter engine with 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque - you'll need to give up just under 100 horsepower and over 100 pound-feet of torque to purchase a model in a similar price range.

Both models feature an array of exciting, innovative technology to help you upgrade the quality of your drive. Starting with the base model, the Volkswagen Arteon boasts a standard eight-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ smartphone integration for seamless access to your music, apps, and more without the need for tangled cables. The Lexus ES also equips a standard eight-inch touchscreen and integration for your Apple and Android devices. However, there's no wireless capability for that integration, requiring you to plug in a USB cable and deal with cords that cause quite the clutter in any sedan lineup.

Volkswagen Arteon vs. Infiniti Q50

Convenience is the name of the game when exploring luxury sedan models, and the Volkswagen Arteon won't disappoint! The Arteon rates as a large sedan, while the Infiniti Q50 works with a midsize rating. Unfortunately for the Q50, you won't enjoy as much room for your passengers and cargo as you would in the Arteon lineup. The Volkswagen sedan offers more front-row hip room, rear-room headroom, and rear-row legroom than its Q50 competitor. When you want to stow your cargo in the trunk, the Arteon offers a power liftgate you can open or close by waving your foot under the back bumper. The Infiniti Q50 doesn't offer a power or hands-free trunk, requiring you to put down your shopping supplies before opening the trunk.

Speaking of features, what about amenities? The Volkswagen sedan has plenty of them! The Arteon comes standard with heated front seats, a feature that the Infiniti Q50 can match with its lineup. However, the Q50 doesn't offer much past that, making it hard to get the most out of your drive. The Arteon SEL Premium trim does offer standard heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, massaging front seats, a wireless phone charging system, and Park Assist, allowing the car to parallel park for you! While the Q50 is a luxurious ride, it won't offer any of the features found equipped on the Arteon SEL Premium trim - you'll need to find other ways to enjoy your drive fully!
