If you're considering upgrading your ride to a new SUV, and the Atlas Cross Sport is vying for your attention, we can help you make the right choice for your needs. Read on and learn a little more about this popular model and all the ways it comes out ahead when compared side by side to competing models.

Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport vs. the Honda Passport

From connectivity to comfort, the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport has more of the features our customers are looking for as standard equipment than the Honda Passport. Both SUVs start their lineups by giving drivers features such as a touchscreen interface and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto smartphone integration. But the Volkswagen model takes it even further to keep you safely connected while you're on the road, with standard VW Car-Net services. This suite includes numerous remote services you'll love, including 4G LTE and Wi-Fi capability, remote engine start, and much more.

When it comes to personalizing your SUV experience and getting the customized vehicle you want, the VW Atlas Cross Sport does more to give you options. While this SUV has a menu of eight trim levels and two powertrain options you can select from to personalize your ride, the Honda Passport has just one engine, with no other options available, and it has fewer trim levels, with just four to choose from.

Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport vs. Hyundai Santa Fe

Whether you enjoy camping, golfing, or shopping, when you want an SUV that offers a tremendous cargo capacity, the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is the way to go. It has a capacity for up to 40.3 cubic feet of space behind the back row of seats, or up to 77.8 cubic feet with the backseats folded. But the Hyundai Santa Fe rear cargo hold accommodates just 36.4 cubic feet behind the back row and tops out at 72 cubic feet with the backseats folded down. Plus, the Atlas Cross Sport is wider inside than the Hyundai SUV, offering more elbow room and shoulder room in both rows of seats.

With both a turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain and a robust V6 powertrain available in its lineup, the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport also has more power and a higher performance output than the Hyundai Santa Fe. For example, while the VW SUV starts at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque from its base four-cylinder engine and offers an upgrade to 276 horsepower on its optional V6, the Hyundai model starts at just 191 horsepower and only has four-cylinder engine options available with no opportunity for V6 power.
