Updated Design
The new VW Tiguan is fully redesigned with a bold new look that extends to every detail, large and small. The longer wheelbase makes room for a bolder and more expressive look, and slim headlights with an available light bar and illuminated VW logo make it stand out after sunset. The new look is athletic with sweeping, powerful lines and functional style elements like a spoiler and side flow elements to improve aerodynamics. The base model has 17-inch wheels, but most have 19-inch wheels, and top-tier trims have striking 20-inch wheels. Three new color options join the lineup this year, including Avocado Green Pearl, Sandstone Uni, and Monterey Blue Pearl.
Improved Performance
The new Volkswagen Tiguan is more powerful than the previous model year. Although it was the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, it now makes 201 horsepower, up from 184 horsepower. The Tiguan is also lighter this year, which helps improve performance and fuel efficiency numbers thanks to aluminum components in the suspension and high-strength hot-formed steel used in the body structure.
Premium Interior
The in-cabin experience gets a significant upgrade with everything from the material selection, finishes, and updated style to bring the wow factor. The extra length translates to more cargo space, and the updated gearshift level placement creates more storage capacity in the center console. High-quality finishes create a premium interior, and options like genuine leather upholstery, wood accents, massaging seat functions, and ventilated seats offer the luxury treatment while staying affordable. The interior layout is exclusively a two-row design with 60/40-split rear seats for flexible storage capacity.
Advanced Technology
The 2025 VW Tiguan is worth the wait for the impressive technology features. The touchscreen infotainment systems get a serious upgrade with a larger 12.9-inch screen as standard equipment and a massive 15.0-inch touchscreen as a desirable upgrade. Both systems run the newest Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro software, and a wireless charging bad is standard on all models. Additional upgrades include a head-up display, ten- to thirty-color ambient lighting (trim dependent), and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
